  1. Xilinx AXI VDMA engine, it does transfers between memory and video devices.
  2. It can be configured to have one channel or two channels. If configured
  3. as two channels, one is to transmit to the video device and another is
  4. to receive from the video device.
  5. Required properties:
  6. - compatible: Should be "xlnx,axi-vdma-1.00.a"
  7. - #dma-cells: Should be <1>, see "dmas" property below
  8. - reg: Should contain VDMA registers location and length.
  9. - xlnx,num-fstores: Should be the number of framebuffers as configured in h/w.
  10. - dma-channel child node: Should have at least one channel and can have up to
  11. two channels per device. This node specifies the properties of each
  12. DMA channel (see child node properties below).
  13. Optional properties:
  14. - xlnx,include-sg: Tells configured for Scatter-mode in
  15. the hardware.
  16. - xlnx,flush-fsync: Tells which channel to Flush on Frame sync.
  17. It takes following values:
  18. {1}, flush both channels
  19. {2}, flush mm2s channel
  20. {3}, flush s2mm channel
  21. Required child node properties:
  22. - compatible: It should be either "xlnx,axi-vdma-mm2s-channel" or
  23. "xlnx,axi-vdma-s2mm-channel".
  24. - interrupts: Should contain per channel VDMA interrupts.
  25. - xlnx,data-width: Should contain the stream data width, take values
  26. {32,64...1024}.
  27. Optional child node properties:
  28. - xlnx,include-dre: Tells hardware is configured for Data
  29. Realignment Engine.
  30. - xlnx,genlock-mode: Tells Genlock synchronization is
  31. enabled/disabled in hardware.
  32. Example:
  33. ++++++++
  34. axi_vdma_0: axivdma@40030000 {
  35. compatible = "xlnx,axi-vdma-1.00.a";
  36. #dma_cells = <1>;
  37. reg = < 0x40030000 0x10000 >;
  38. xlnx,num-fstores = <0x8>;
  39. xlnx,flush-fsync = <0x1>;
  40. dma-channel@40030000 {
  41. compatible = "xlnx,axi-vdma-mm2s-channel";
  42. interrupts = < 0 54 4 >;
  43. xlnx,datawidth = <0x40>;
  44. } ;
  45. dma-channel@40030030 {
  46. compatible = "xlnx,axi-vdma-s2mm-channel";
  47. interrupts = < 0 53 4 >;
  48. xlnx,datawidth = <0x40>;
  49. } ;
  50. } ;
  51. * DMA client
  52. Required properties:
  53. - dmas: a list of <[Video DMA device phandle] [Channel ID]> pairs,
  54. where Channel ID is '0' for write/tx and '1' for read/rx
  55. channel.
  56. - dma-names: a list of DMA channel names, one per "dmas" entry
  57. Example:
  58. ++++++++
  59. vdmatest_0: vdmatest@0 {
  60. compatible ="xlnx,axi-vdma-test-1.00.a";
  61. dmas = <&axi_vdma_0 0
  62. &axi_vdma_0 1>;
  63. dma-names = "vdma0", "vdma1";
  64. } ;
